High Street Consulting is a Vancouver-based practice that helps transit agencies and public operators plan, buy and deliver modern fare payment: contactless EMV, mobile wallets, account-based ticketing and open-loop systems. Every engagement is led by our principal, Dries Deetlefs, from the first workshop to go-live.
What we’ve delivered
Dries has led high-profile payment programs with budgets up to $30M, across hardware, software, clearing and settlement.
- Province-wide EMV fare collection, Canadian transit agency. As senior project manager, Dries helped deliver a $25M program that grew from a 40,000-rider pilot to more than two million riders across 30 transit systems.
- EMV-enabled fare program, major Canadian city. Dries delivered a $12M EMV-enabled fare program for a major Canadian city while on the vendor side.
- Banking and retail payments before transit. Dries built card and ATM platforms for a new bank launch in Asia and led a point-of-sale replacement across 600 retail sites in Australia. He was also a technical subject matter expert at Fiserv, one of the largest debit processors in the US.
